The new OPPO UDP-203 player picks up where the BDP-10x series left off, by combining OPPO's renowned design with the jaw-dropping clarity of Ultra-HD 4K disc content. OPPO has come into the 4K market with their trademark quality, but with a highly competitive RRP of $949 (AUD).
The UDP-203 will support HDMI 2.0a with HDCP2.2 to deliver a stunning 4K picture with High Dynamic Range colour. The unit also boasts an audio-only HDMI 1.4 port to ensure backwards compatibility with older AV receivers. The on-board HDMI 2.0 input also allows you to pass other native 4K sources through the OPPO player.
With a premium 8-channel 32-bit DAC from AKM, the player can serve up PCM, AIFF, ALAC, FLAC and WAV audio up to 384kHz/32-bit, multi-channel DSD64/128 and even two-channel DSD256. The player also supports Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for a fully immersive experience.

The UDP-203 features a premium 32-bit DAC AKM4458, which is an 8-channel DAC with support for formats such as 192 kHz/24-bit PCM and multi-channel DSD64/128.
The UDP-203's disc loader features an optimized laser mechanism to ensure super fast disc loading, compatibility with a wide range of optical media, and strong error detection and correction to ensure error free physical media playback.
The UDP-203 is capable of playing the new 4K UHD Blu-ray discs as well as 4K media files and user generated content. Support for decoding the HEVC, H.264, VP9 4K, and Hi10P video codecs, providing increased compatibility with user generated media.
HDR and HDR to SDR Conversion
The UDP-203 supports HDR10 format, which utilizes a bit depth of 10-bits, and a target peak brightness of 1,000 nits. What’s more, it is capable of providing accurate conversion of HDR to SDR for older displays, with BT.2020/BT.709/BT601 color space conversion and native output capable.
Upscaling to Ultra HD (4K) Resolution
The UDP-203 is capable of upscaling lower resolution content up to 4Kx2K at 50/60Hz to a compatible display, which is four times the resolution found on a 1080p Blu-ray disc.
Advanced Picture Control
The UDP-203 also features advanced picture controls. Adjustments can be made to brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, and sharpness, allowing the customer to make adjustments to compensate for any limitations found in their other home theater components, or merely to adjust the image to their own personal taste.
Supports up to 4K@60 Resolution with Native 4:4:4 Color Space
The UDP-203 features support for all current UHD, HD, and SD resolutions, including 4K@60p, 4K@50p, 4K@30p, and 4K@24p using various color spaces such as PC RGB, Video RGB, YCbCr 4:4:4, 4:2:2, and 4:2:0.
Lossless High-resolution Audio
Audio format support has been expanded to multi-channel DSD64/128, as well as 192kHz/24-bit PCM used in high-resolution lossless formats such AIFF, ALAC, APE, FLAC and WAV.
Support for the Latest Surround Formats
In addition to supporting the Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio surround formats, the UDP-203 supports bitstreaming the latest object-based surround formats, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. These new formats add overhead sound effects to create a greater impression of 3D-dimensionality.

To ensure compatibility with older amplifiers, pre-amps, and receivers that do not support HDMI, the UDP-203 retains a 7.1 multi-channel analog output section, which delivers an incredible sound stage and an immersive surround experience.
UDP-203 features a brushed aluminum front panel, exquisite steel cover, and a metal chassis on it body, which all ensure that the player inherits the excellent workmanship of it previous generations. The classic design and solid metal construction fit perfectly well with its outstanding performance.
Diversified Media Support
UDP-203 is able to play all standard disc media formats, such as 4K UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, DVD, DVD-Audio, SACD, CD, and AVCHD discs. Besides,It can supports HDDs up to 16TB and is capable of accessing DLNA and SMB shares on the local network. The user generated media files such as AVI, MKV, MOV, and M2TS/TS video files, and AIFF, ALAC, APE, DSD, FLAC and WAV audio formats are able to be played with this universal player.

The newly updated, high-resolution user interface has been designed to be incredibly convenient to navigate, and provides an easy way to manage and access media files from both local and network storage.
